The theater play “Symphony of the fall” after the works of Daniil Kharms, will be performed by OS Theater “Chekori” on the occasion of International Theater Day on March 27th. Director of the play is Petko Kostovski. The cast consists of: Viktor Petrovski, Zorica Stoimenovska, Maja Gjurcevska, Kiril Naumoski and Petko Kostovski. After setting the play "Siljan the Stork", Macedonian National Theatre announces another children’s play premiere - "The Adventures of Aladdin" in adaptation, dramatized and directed by Bojan Trifunovski. The premiere is on March 22nd and the first replay on March 29th at 7 pm.
The title character will play actor Aleksandar Mihajlovski, Darja Rizova will play Princess Jasmine, and the cast includes Nikola Acevski (Genie form the lamp); Kamka Tocinovski (The Widow – Aladdin’s mother); Slavisa Kajevski (The Sultan – Jasmine’s father); Dragana Levenska (The Maiden with the ring - Leonora) and Nenad Angjelkovic (The Sscarecrow - Prince Leopold). Participating are also children members of the Children's Drama Studio of Magdalena Rizova Černih.
To capture the magic of the story contribute the scenery by Ilina Angelovska and costumes created by Antonia Guginsks-Jordanoska and Elena Vangelovska. Composer is Dzian Emin and choreographer Aleksandra Kocovska-Natcheva.
The Macedonian National Theatre on Tuesday, December 20th at 8 pm will perform Moliere's "Tartuffe" by Bulgarian director Galin Stoev, which was set pu two years ago in "La Comedie Francaise" in Paris, that has been known as the House of Molière.
The title character is played by Dragan Spasov-Dac, his first role after moving from the Drama Theatre to MNT.
The play was written in the 17th century and is current for dealing with a timeless theme - the hypocrisy of the individual as a metaphor for the hypocrisy in society.
The following performances are scheduled for December 21st and December 24th at 8 pm.

The Satirical Theatre "Aleko Konstantinov" from Sofia, Bulgaria on Wednesday, December 7th takes on the stage of Theatre Comedy, with its latest premiere "The Lying Kind" by Anthony Nielsen, directed by Zdravko Mitkov. This play had its premiere at the end of November and the first abroad is precisely at Theatre Comedy in Skopje. This visit is part of the bilateral cooperation between the two theaters, after the visit of the Theatre Comedy last year with plays "Lysistrata" and "Name" on the stage of the Satirical Theatre, as well as the participation of the Satirical Theatre at the Festival "Naked Moon" with "The bus". These two theaters continue their cooperation as genre-defined theaters in the region.
"The Lying Kind" is a masterfully written farce, which, like every holiday situation, has a happy ending. Right on Christmas Eve officers Gobel and Blunt have a tough task – to inform an elderly couple that their daughter died in a car accident. The mother shows very strange and eccentric behavior, and the father is of a very weak heart, so the two police officers enter comic, but pathetic attempts to painlessly announce the terrible news. The situation becomes impossible heroic feat after interventions by a preacher, a chihuahua, the neighbor...
Monty Python’s "Spamalot", the musical comedy based on the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and one of the most popular Broadway musicals ever, for the first time will be exclusively performed in front of the Macedonian audience, within the Taksirat Festival with three performances, on November 27th, 28th and 29th at 8 pm in the Macedonian opera and ballet.
The musical comes to Skopje with an impressive acting and dance team - Serbian acting legend Nikola Kojo after 20 years returns to the theatre stage in the character of King Arthur, alongside brilliant Nikola Gjurichko, Srdjan Timarov, Gordan Kicic, Dejan Lutkikj, Miroljub Turajlija, Ivan Markovic and glorious Jelena Jovicic who recently with the lead role in the musical "Mamma Mia" enchanted the Macedonian audience. Director of this musical is Radoslav - Rale Milenkovic.
The original Broadway production from 2005 immediately won the “Tony” award for Best musical, and two more "Tony" awards, Sara Ramirez for the role of the Lady of the Lake and Michael Nichols for best director of a musical. "Spamalot" was nominated for a total of 14 "Tony" awards. In nearly five years of theater life on Broadway, the play has been performed more than 1,500 times, and seen by more than 2 million people in 25 countries.
The musical is full of traditional British humor and in the recognizable Pyton manner distorts reality in a hilarious and sarcastic way making it impossible to stay indifferent. After Broadway, the musical was extremely successful in the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea ... Last year it premiered with great success in Belgrade, and as part of Taksirat festival it finally plays in Skopje.
